The first ever University-wide expo on artificial intelligence (AI) yesterday showcased the amazing expertise of researchers in the field in Oxford.

More than 150 people descended on Worcester College to hear from world-leading experts on various applications of AI, including language translation, medical imaging and driverless cars.

Presenters discussed how far artificial intelligence has already come, what it might be able to in the future, and what we can do to ensure that future outcomes are positive for the population at large.

As well as presentations, there were three lively panel discussions, an interesting selection of posters presented by students, and demonstrations which included the chance to see a driverless car.
