The Department of Computer Science has seen all three of its undergraduate courses being placed in the top 10 of overall student satisfaction in this year's Student Barometer at Oxford University.

The Student Barometer is a yearly questionnaire that is sent out to all students within a university in mid to late autumn. This means it collects data from newly integrated students as well as those who have been a part of the university life for many years.. It is collated by a single authority, i-graduate, and then the results are published with the ability to compare across departments, colleges and even universities.

The Department of Computer Science has seen all three of its undergraduate courses being placed in the top 10 of overall student satisfaction. With 97 per cent of Computer Science students satisfied with all aspects of the university experience coupled with 100% satisfaction in regards to the quality of tutorials and subject expertise, the Department of Computer Science has reason to celebrate.

The Department has been working hard to help improve student satisfaction scores. Having exceeded the University of Oxford's average score on most questions, the hard work is paying off.  Having the top three courses in the MPLS division and dominating the University-wide charts by having all three in the top ten is a significant achievement. Nevertheless there is lots of room for improvement, and this data will certainly help the department pave the way forward in student satisfaction.
