Second-year doctoral student Eamonn Maguire,  whose research is focused on visualisation of biological data, has had a paper accepted for presentation at IEEE Vis. It will subsequently be published in Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers's Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics journal. The paper is entitled Visual Compression of Workflow Visualizations with Automated Detection of Macro Motifs.  

Vis 2013 is described as the "premier forum for advances in scientific and information visualization", and brings together researchers and practitioners from academia, government, and industry to explore their shared interests in tools, techniques, and technology.  The event will take place in Atlanta, USA in October 2013.
