Congratulations to Mehrnoosh Sadrzadeh who has been awarded a 5 year EPSRC Career Acceleration Fellowship.

The project is entitled ‘Foundational Structures for Compositional Meaning.’    The work will see her exploiting the theoretical and experimental underpinnings of their recent research breakthrough on modeling meanings of sentences, inspired by the diagrammatic methods of modeling quantum protocols.

Career Acceleration Fellowships provide support for outstanding researchers at an early stage of their career.  The Fellowships are highly sought after awards, and as such the competition is intense. On average, each year 450 applications are received by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council for approximately 25 career acceleration fellowship awards

Mehnoosh will be working with three project partners – the Universities of Utrecht and Cambridge, and Google! There will also be funding for a DPhil Student.
