NEWS BRIEF: Production is underway on Discretion, an eight-episode legal thriller adapted from Chandler Baker’s short story, starring Nicole Kidman alongside Elle Fanning, Josh Lucas, Stephan James and Colton Ryan and produced by A24.

The series is written by Baker, who exec produces alongside Susannah Grant. Kidman and Fanning also executive produce via their Blossom Films and Lewellen Pictures banners, respectively. Matt Shakman, also an EP, will direct the first four episodes of the show, which will launch globally on Paramount+ in 2027.
