7. Everyone is mocking former LSU Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels on social media after he sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding the university stop using his name, image and likeness and reportedly return the Heisman, with StubHub joking “Effective immediately, we will no longer offer tickets in groups of 5… Out of respect for Jayden Daniels, we’re only doing 4 or 6+.”

6. Alabama inmate Jeremy Tremaine Williams was executed by lethal injection last night at Holman Correctional Facility for the December 2021 rape and strangulation of 5-year-old Kamarie Holland, a crime District Attorney Rick Chancey called “one of the most horrific things I’ve ever seen” after Williams recorded the abuse on his phone both before and after her death and the child’s mother received a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking.

5. Troy University math professor Micah Swartz was reprimanded and hit with a disciplinary notice for “unprofessional conduct” after sending an April letter on university letterhead criticizing the Alabama Numeracy Act Course Review Committee for “lack of transparency and prompt feedback,” prompting the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression to demand the school rescind the punishment but the fact that he used school letterhead may make that unlikely.

4. Data centers have transformed the small farming town of Quincy, Washington, into an economic powerhouse where roughly 30 facilities now generate an estimated 57% of property taxes, created about 900 jobs, and funded a $120 million high school plus new aquatic center and sports complex, though the boom has also doubled home prices and pushed out many agricultural workers as poverty fell from 29.4% to 6.2%.

3. FBI Director Kash Patel slammed the Southern Poverty Law Center for running a “methodical, calculated scheme to defraud their donor base for millions,” alleging Heidi Beirich oversaw more than $1.2 million in payments to a neo-Nazi informant with whom she shared a home and joint bank accounts, declaring “Money doesn’t lie! The charity that supposedly fought the KKK actually funded the KKK.”

2. U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) introduced the bipartisan Space Superiority Readiness Act of 2026 to expand training for Space Force Guardians against growing Chinese threats, while military leaders at the Space and Missile Defense Symposium in Huntsville framed the Trump administration’s Golden Dome homeland missile defense system as essential for restoring deterrence by denial with North Alabama positioned at the center of the effort to create the program.

1. The “cold hard math” Fox News’ Will Cain used to dismantle Democrat Socialists’ estimated $200 trillion spending wish list shows that Democrats would take America into a period of economic insanity given the chance to do so, which is further explained by the recent CPI data that revealed significantly higher inflation in Democrat-led metros.
