7. Alabama officials laid out plans for the Interstate 10 Mobile River Bridge and Bayway project that has now grown to $3.2 billion and includes tolls set at $3 one-way for frequent users between Mobile and Daphne, a $60 monthly unlimited rate, and $7.70 for those without a pass, as U.S. Rep. Rep. Barry Moore (R-Enterprise) declaring it is time to move on this, adding, “We know the longer we wait, the more expensive this project becomes for the taxpayers.”

6. U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) lambasted Democrats for their inane embrace of socialist candidates, saying,  “they actually hate America” and that the Democratic Party is “beholden to the socialists of America,” and CNN’s Harry Enten is warning that this embrace is a “Tea Party on steroids” that has led to a record number of far-left challengers defeating Democratic incumbents.

5. Gov. Kay Ivey’s office stated that a mystery appointee from Magic City Acceptance Academy to the state textbook committee was not selected by her office, as questions remain over how the educator received an appointment letter from State Education Superintendent Eric Mackey, and now Mackey’s office is absurdly claiming they can’t explain the letter because Mackey is on vacation.

4. The Southern Poverty Law Center pleaded not guilty to a federal indictment, which it claims is politically motivated, alleging it defrauded donors by funneling millions to Klansmen, neo-Nazis, and white supremacists through shell companies, while the organization maintains it did not lie to donors or banks.

3. Alabama Republican lieutenant governor nominee John Wahl described the ongoing redistricting fight as “a political war” in which “you cannot leave a weapon unused,” arguing that Republican states must respond aggressively to Democratic mapmaking tactics rather than offer one-sided restraint, while many in Alabama have lamented the fact that the legislature could have drawn a 7-0 map instead of reverting to a 6-1 map.

2. U.S. forces have reportedly ended the latest strikes on Iranian targets, including IRGC assets tied to threats in the Strait of Hormuz, prompting more calls from Iran to vow retaliation and “grave consequences” which could explain a new alleged plot to kill President Donald Trump, as mysterious additional explosions that may signal attacks from nations that are not the United States or Israel occurred inside the country further isolating the country.

1. A Montgomery County circuit judge dismissed the residency challenge against Governor-elect National Championship-winning Coach U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn), ruling the court lacks jurisdiction, prompting his campaign to celebrate going “5-0 against these ridiculous challenges” and declaring the decision should leave the governor’s race to Alabama voters, which will not happen as the completely fake battle over this issue is the core strategy for Alabama Democrats in 2026.
