According to critics of modern progressive politics, they all highlight the same pattern.

The argument is that people who advocate for certain policies often don’t experience the day-to-day consequences of those policies themselves.

Whether the issue is immigration, nuisance geese, alligators moving into neighborhoods, or public disorder, critics argue that the loudest voices are frequently the people least affected by the outcomes.

Supporters of those policies see the situation differently.

They argue compassion, conservation, and humanitarian concerns shouldn’t disappear simply because solutions are difficult.

The larger political fight isn’t really about any one issue.

It’s about who bears the costs, who makes the decisions, and who ultimately has to live with the consequences.
