Tennessee Republicans passed a new congressional map that Democrats and activists labeled as gerrymandered, sparking hilarious protests at the State Capitol that resembled January 6th and included threats to secede, lawmakers standing on desks with signs reading “No Jim Crow 2.0”, and the burning of a Confederate flag.

2. U.S. Rep. Robert Aderholt (R-Haleyville) said Alabama’s redistricting efforts could hand Republicans the U.S. House majority in November by creating additional conservative-leaning districts in the state.

The Alabama Legislature has advanced a bill that will allow the state to use a 2023 map, known as the Livingston map, in a special election, despite the media and their Democrats using their best words, accusations of white supremacy, and impotent rage to attempt (and fail) to generate public outcry, the legislature will complete the special session today.
