7. Alabama man, Adam Benjamin Hall, has been charged with interstate stalking after he allegedly drove to Atlanta to assassinate then-President Joe Biden during the CNN presidential debate, motivated by pro-Palestine views and a manifesto calling for violence against U.S. institutions.

6. The Alabama Senate passed a bill banning vaping in public places, the bill prohibits electronic cigarette use in indoor public areas and in vehicles with minors present in order to protect public health and reduce secondhand exposure.

Terri Sewell (D-Birmingham) joined the push to defund ICE and impeach DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, warning Minneapolis today could be Birmingham tomorrow after “protestor” deaths, while Governor-elect National Championship-winning Coach U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-Auburn) called the two protester deaths unfortunate but preventable with better Democratic leadership, additionally, ICE arrested 12 people who are now set for deportation in North Alabama.

1. The White House and Democrats thought they struck a deal to avert a government shutdown and fund Homeland Security, despite ICE being funded for years as Democrats continue to rage about, but that deal appears to have fallen apart, and the government could shut down this weekend but only for a bit, Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) said he thinks a larger shutdown in probably unavoidable down the line.
