The increasing use of AI tools is rapidly changing how companies and organizations are seen online. As more users ask questions directly to LLMs, the sources these models rely on to gather information are becoming crucial for visibility.
Data from Semrush, an international SEO analytics platform for digital marketing, shows that newsrooms distributed through Mynewsdesk have the highest visibility in AI-generated responses compared to the four largest Swedish press room and PR platforms.
The results show that news from Mynewsdesk appears three times as often as a source in AI-generated answers compared to sources from Via TT and Cision. Mynewsdesk sources are therefore estimated to have been exposed to an audience of 7.62 million over the past six months, approximately 77 percent more than the closest competitor.
– Being visible in AI-generated answers is becoming increasingly important and is already at least as significant a parameter as traditional SEO. Measuring how well you rank on Google is still important, but it is now complemented by analyzing how your content appears and is used in AI-generated answers, says Keke Rahnasto, Product Manager at Mynewsdesk.
When AI assistants generate responses, they compile information from multiple sources online. Information that is easy to understand and follows a clear structure is prioritized. Trusted content, such as press releases and digital newsrooms, therefore becomes particularly attractive to AI models.
For communications and PR teams, this development means that digital newsrooms may play an even more decisive role in a company’s visibility.
– As users increasingly turn directly to AI assistants for information, the choice of publishing platform and how content is structured becomes a strategically important question. Mynewsdesk will continue working to stay at the forefront and support our customers in becoming even better at this, says Keke Rahnasto.
