Well, it looks like I wasn’t quite done with v26 and still can’t let this thing go. 😜😅
Here is Amazeing version 26.99 — the biggest, most feature‑packed release since v5 back in ’95. Still 16‑bit for Windows 3.1, and still developed on a 486 for maximum nostalgic‑nerdity… this is now the canonical release, and is everything Amazeing always wanted to be. 

• Timed mucus movement — the mucus can now move even when you’re standing still. Watch out or it will find you.
• Random flipping — the maze can suddenly flip upside‑down for a few moves. Works in all views, but Back‑of‑Square is especially entertaining.
• Major graphics engine optimisation — drawing is noticeably faster and smoother on vintage hardware.
• Much faster maze generation — all algorithms have been tuned, and many mazes now generate dramatically faster than before.
• Maybe even the possibility of an easter egg or two.

Playable in your browser thanks to archive.org, but best experienced on real vintage hardware — or at least a Windows 3.1 setup that still remembers how to behave.

Please note: When running Amazeing in the browser, there’s a small visual glitch where gaps appear in the maze lines. This seems to be caused by archive.org’s DOSBox emulation system — the downloadable version and normal DOSBox (e.g., 0.74) do not show this problem. The game itself is fine; only the online emulator has the glitch.
