Before the summer season kicks off, you need to make sure you have your beach bag packed and ready with all the essentials — sunscreen, beach towel, sunglasses, a good beach read, and of course, your new Jellycat. The plush brand just rolled out a new collection of beach-themed toys that are beyond adorable. From fancy carps and sea lions to crabs and manatees, you’ll have a hard time choosing your favorite new beach buddy. In fact, you might just have to grab more than one!

One of the cutest members of the new collection (as if we could really rank them!) is Larry Lobster in his new Sailor Outfit. Larry, described on Jellycat’s website as “stunt double to the stars,” has a brand new look in his cotton striped sailor’s shirt as he works on “the new nautical action spectacular Ocean’s Edge.” His super-soft plush shell is oh-so cuddly, and the striped shirt will have you saying “ahoy, sailor!”

Pinchsnap Crab may have some serious claws on him, but he’s actually ready to cuddle! Jellycat’s website says that Pinchsnap is a “pillow tester” who takes his job very seriously. Each shift is 12 hours and requires a lot of effort to make sure each pillow is tested properly.

“Luckily, he was born for it,” the website continues. “A natural napper, he knows his eiderdown from his cotton, and he’s a firm believer in ensuring his fellow Jellies enjoy the fluffiest of snoozes.”

Manatee lovers, Maffles is for you! Maffles Manatee, an absolutely adorable curly-haired critter, is reportedly a candle connoisseur who particularly loves the scents Ocean Breeze and Candyfloss.

“But Maffles isn’t content with any old three-wick,” the Jellycat website reads. “No, he’s dreaming big… underwater candles! For years, he’s tinkered away with Luxe Bunny Luna to perfect them, and they’re very close to a breakthrough.”

Bartholomew Bear is ready for a day out at sea in his Seafarer Outfit! According to Jellycat, Bartholomew was invited out to sea by Bashful Bunny, and although he was anxious at first, his cousin Leola Bear helped him find the perfect outfit to ease his nerves and get him ready for this exciting adventure.

Upon seeing Bartholomew’s outfit, Bashful reportedly said, “I don’t know how good he’ll be at hauling anchors, but he certainly looks the part”.

Complete with a fisherman’s cap, striped sailor’s shirt, and yellow overalls, Bartholomew is ready for a day on the waves.
