A month after being ousted by Colorado State in the semifinals of the Mountain West conference tournament, Lady Rebels coach Lindy La Rocque is done recruiting.
UNLV women’s basketball has officially rounded out its roster for the 2026–27 season, making one final addition from an in-state rival via the transfer portal.
Former UNR guard Maia Rosarion signed with the Lady Rebels, the team announced on Tuesday.
With the signing of Rosarion, a 5-foot-10 sophomore transfer, decorated head coach Lindy La Rocque has completed a quick roster overhaul a month after being ousted by Colorado State in the semifinals of the Mountain West conference tournament.
“We are pumped to finish out our roster by adding Maia to our Lady Rebels family,” La Rocque said in a team release. “Maia has tremendous upside with her athleticism, work ethic and feel for the game on both sides of the floor. She is an explosive, dynamic guard with great size.”
Rosarion, a Vancouver, British Columbia native, played 30 games for UNR last season, making one start. She averaged 4.7 points and 2.0 rebounds per game while shooting 52.7 percent from the field.
Her move comes during an offseason in the new normal of heavy transfer portal activity across the nation. More than 1,100 players entered the portal on opening day alone.
For UNLV, that movement meant saying some goodbyes. La Rocque entered this offseason with six graduating players and four Lady Rebels promptly entering the portal. One of them, guard Alexis Swillis, transferred to UNR earlier in the offseason in a bit of a player swap.
Despite those losses, La Rocque’s roster had a headstart. UNLV signed a six-player freshman class in November 2025, featuring Ava Bergeson, Jayla Constant, Arianna Davis, Terri’A Russell, Tristan Williams and Keonni Lewis — an ESPN Top 100 recruit who joined the program early.
Rosarion joins a large incoming group that also includes fellow transfers Bergan Kinnebrew, Lewis, Norah Moo, Russell and Williams.
