xlistings is an opinionated extension to the listings package. It provides a simpler front-end for code blocks, language-sensitive highlighting of numbers (hexadecimal literals, exponents, and type suffixes such as 10L in Java or 3j in Python), a drop-in replacement for the minted environment, per-language wrapper macros and environments, non-selectable line numbers based on accsupp, language badges, and definitions for a set of common languages that are loaded on demand. This is the first release on CTAN. Language definitions are installed as xlistings-<language>.cfg. Both \LoadLanguages{<language>} and private, unprefixed <language>.cfg files continue to work unchanged. The package is licensed under the LaTeX Project Public License 1.3c.
