Olympian and SAS Australia star Jana Pittman has sparked rumours she's split from her husband Paul Gatward.

The 40-year-old dropped a hint she's parted ways with the businessman after opening up about how difficult it has been 'parenting six kids solo' on Instagram.

In the post, Jana explained she had a 'pretty hard' night after her son Charlie had a fever related convulsion and her two au pairs left.

'This parenting 6 kids basically solo is so tough with all the other crazy things I have on,' she wrote.

'I believe we can achieve many things in life but when your village crumbles around you, the only way out, is to build a bridge.. hence the quote!' 

Many of her followers questioned why Paul, who she shares three children with, isn't helping her during this difficult time.

The former Olympian is also a mother to son Cornelius, who she shares with her first husband, British Olympian Chris Rawlinson and two daughters, who she conceived via donors.

'Where's hubby in all this? He's a parent also. You cannot possibly carry the load,' one person questioned.

'It's been quite obvious Jana has been doing things solo for the last 12 months! Just she hides it well and is very capable,' another person said.

A third wrote: 'Why isn't your hubby sharing the load? There his kids too.'

'Not to sound disrespectful but what about your husband,' another person questioned.

Jana is currently a doctor specialising in women's health at Blacktown Hospital in Sydney, working towards her goal of becoming an obstetrician-gynecologist.
