Bringing together architects, designers and researchers the exhibition explores projects that value collaboration, resourcefulness and blur the boundaries between expert and amateur. Through videos, drawings, material experiments and full-scale prototypes, visitors will discover how practices and communities in the East Asia region are responding creatively to slowdown – including ageing populations, economic contraction, and environmental pressures, offering valuable lessons for Australia and beyond.
