ESNT workshop - Du 21/09/2026 au 02/10/2026 - Séminaires du DPhN - Bat 703, p 135 salle visio-conférence CEA Saclay, Orme des Merisiers - On behalf of the "Espace de Structure et de réactions Nucléaires Théorique" (ESNT), the workshop entitled: "Probing nuclear structure with beta-decay energy spectra, present and near future state (II)" will be held at CEA-Saclay, Orme-des-Merisiers site.
Talks and seminars are organized during the first week (21/09-25/09).
The second week corresponds to the working group closed sessions.
The first workshop (ESNT, July 6-10, 2025) was successful in starting conversations between theoretical and experimental physicists, as well as between experimentalists studying beta-decays from different energy regimes (low energy up to ~700 keV versus higher energy up to several MeV).
The goals of this workshop are to:
1. Continue encouragement for experimental and theoretical beta-decay experts to discuss and exchange approaches on different models, limits, and possible improvements thereof.
2. Decide on common actions such as comparing analysis approaches of the same experimental dataset, and comparing theoretical predictions on parts of the nuclear structure models.
3. List priority nuclei and transitions for common studies, focusing on those with possible high impact on related fields. There were some conclusions on this from the first meeting.
4. Ultimately, to agree within the community on a robust procedure to improve nuclear structure models with experimental information from beta-decay energy spectra.
5. Continue discussions of beta-decay standards.
For details about the updated program, see the ESNT Web pages: https://esnt.cea.fr >> Ateliers 2026
