The United States closed out its pre-World Cup warm-up friendlies on Saturday, losing 2-1 to Germany at Chicago’s Soldier Field. Germany took the early lead from a Kai Havertz goal in the 2nd. Antonee Robinson equalized with a shot from the top of the arc in the 37th. Germany retook the lead from a Leroy Sane goal in the 57th minute.

The USMNT travels to its California World Cup base in advance of Friday’s group D opener against Paraguay at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles (9pm ET – FOX).
