She points to UNM expansion efforts as well as projects at Kirtland Air Force Base and Sandia National Laboratories, water and transportation infrastructure improvements and continued private-sector investment supporting advanced manufacturing and technology growth.

On the flip side, “pricing volatility, regulatory uncertainty and permitting timelines continue to impact project delivery,” she adds.

“The industry is also investing heavily in workforce development because talent, not just workers, is a major limiting factor.

AGC New Mexico has significantly expanded its workforce development efforts with paid pre-apprenticeship programs, registered apprenticeships, high school career awareness initiatives, global credentialing as well as partnerships with educators, industry and state agencies.”
