Judges have awarded 67 projects in the annual Mountain States Best Projects competition. Winners will be honored the first week of December at events in Salt Lake City and Denver.
I am excited to announce the winners of ENR’s annual Mountain States Best Projects competition. For 30 years, the regional publication has honored the best in design and construction with two contests: one for projects in Colorado and Wyoming, and the other for projects in the Intermountain area of Idaho, Montana and Utah. Our panel of industry judges reviewed 135 projects in a variety of categories and for two special awards, Excellence in Sustainability and Excellence in Safety, both of which will be announced at a later date.
Thank you to our judges, listed below in alphabetical order:
In addition to selecting category winners, our judges have also chosen several Project of the Year finalists. The Intermountain winner will be announced at the regional Best Projects breakfast event in Salt Lake City on Dec. 2 and in the Colorado/Wyoming winner will be revealed at the Denver awards event on Dec. 4. We will preview the finalists in another blog leading up to the events. Click here for event location and details in your area.
The events will also recognize several other award winners from throughout the year. In Salt Lake City, we will recognize Intermountain Owner of the Year St. Luke’s Boise; Design Firm of the Year RS&H; and Contractor of the Year ESI. Intermountain Legacy winner Ralph Wadsworth will be posthumously honored.
In Denver, we will recognize Colorado/Wyoming Owner of the Year Cherry Creek North Business Improvement District; Design Firm of the Year RS&H; and Contractor of the Year Adolfson & Peterson. We will also recognize Colorado/Wyoming Legacy Award winner Tom Horsting.
