Space Afrika work alongside Alto Aria on new song ‘From the Heart of Knowing’.

The Manchester/Berlin-based duo – Joshua Tarelle Reid and Joshua Inyang – have opened the doors of their creativity, with incoming album ‘Quiet Storm’ proving to be their most communal and collaborative to date.

The music enclosed moves from fractal electronics to club-focussed manoeuvres, skirting around dubby low-end, trip hop world-building, and beyond.

Out now, new song ‘From the Heart of Knowing’ is a whispered incantation, placing Space Africa alongside Alto Aria.

The murmured arrangement touches on modern classical, the breathy woodwind and plucked strings aligning to a crystalline vocal.

Says Inyang. “It’s a collaborative record because there is always strength and love in collaboration. But with that, we were able to focus more strongly on our personal identity.”
