Nick Kyrgios will likely be on uncle duty as he watches the Australian Open from afar, with his brother Christos welcoming his second child. 

Nick, 28, announced last month that he will not be competing in Melbourne this year after enduring a torrid 2023, with knee and wrist injuries keeping the fiesty Aussie on the sidelines.

Australian Open bosses expect him to feature at Melbourne Park 'in some form', but he might have to juggle his anticipated punditry gig with family time after Christos and his wife Alicia welcomed a baby girl.

Nick's beaming brother proudly posed with his second child in a photo uploaded on Instagram, before sharing a picture of his healthy partner enjoying a protein shake with their son, George, who was born in July 2022. 

Christos is a sports coach and the part-time CEO of Nick's NK Foundation, which aims to provide sporting opportunities for underprivileged youngsters.

Alicia is a sports nutritionist and a three-time world champion fitness model. 

The couple watched Nick's infamous Wimbledon clash against Stefanos Tsitsipas from hospital after George's birth. 

Nick, meanwhile, is in a long-term relationship with girlfriend Costeen Hatzi. The couple have been dating since December 2021 and he was candid when asked of his ambitions to become a father.

'I would like them asap. But Coz (Costeen Hatzi) would like to wait a year and a half,' Nick Kyrgios said on his Instagram story in November 2022. 

Reflecting on his relationship with Hatzi, Kyrgios said: 'Honestly I'm so lucky. She has managed to navigate through a lot of BS and continues to love me for me. 

'But I have her back and only want to provide and share my time remaining with her.'
