Measat Global Berhad has named John Loke as its new Chief Technology Officer, strengthening its leadership team as the company advances its innovation roadmap and long-term growth plans.

In his new role, Loke will oversee the company’s digital transformation and regional strategy, with a focus on integrating AI-driven solutions and multi-orbit capabilities. He will lead key divisions, including Satellite and Network Engineering & Operations, as well as Information Technology and Digital Transformation, while also managing the technical aspects of satellite development and launch procurement.

Loke brings extensive experience to the position, having previously spent a decade at Measat in senior roles such as Vice President of Network Engineering & Operations and Customer Engineering. During his tenure, he played a key role in delivering major initiatives including Measat-3a, Measat-3b and CONNECTme, which contributed to the company’s strong market position.

Prior to rejoining Measat, Loke served as Chief Technology Officer at a Singapore-based satellite operator, where he led the rollout of high-speed broadband services across the Asia-Pacific region. He began his career at Singapore Telecommunications Ltd, where he was part of the pioneering team behind the ST-1 satellite operation.
