Tagboat 1.0.2 is out, with improved previewing of PDF files and [spacebar]-to-preview functionality like Finder’s that lets you easily view an even larger file preview in a separate window when desired. These enhancements make it easier to identify the files you’re tagging so you can judge which tags are most appropriate to add.

Tagboat’s Help also links an Apple Support article, “Use tags to organize files on Mac”, that provides useful guidance for getting the most out of file tags on macOS. A key Tagboat feature is that it operates on native Finder tags, so the tags you apply travel with your files and are seen by the whole system, including Finder and QuickLook searches.
