Looking for volunteers
- We need your help in finding all the content that could be updated and consolidated. We would love to have two groups of volunteers – one that will go through all the handbook content, and one that will check the courses. Please state your interest, and we will help you organize and start working on these important issues.
- Also, we started working on creating thumbnails for all lessons that need them. You’re very welcome to join us and contribute to this important and creative project. Here’s the issue with details on how to work on the remaining thumbnails: https://github.com/WordPress/Learn/issues/3428.
- We currently have 530 open issues. It would be great to get support in reviewing and reducing their number. You can help by:

- We’re Looking for WCUS 2026 Contributor Day Contributor Days are standalone days, frequently held before or after WordCamps but they can also happen at any time. - WordCamp WordCamps are casual, locally-organized conferences covering everything related to WordPress. Two new contributors started the Training Team Contributor Course, and @devmuhib009 supported the Team as a table lead.

Project updates

- Building on the momentum of our last learning cohort (Block Block is the abstract term used to describe units of markup that, composed together, form the content or layout of a webpage using the WordPress editor. The idea combines concepts of what in the past may have achieved with shortcodes, custom HTML, and embed discovery into a single consistent API and user experience. Theme Development Course cohort), we are excited to launch our next cohort focused on Plugin A plugin is a piece of software containing a group of functions that can be added to a WordPress website. They can extend functionality or add new features to your WordPress websites. WordPress plugins are written in the PHP programming language and integrate seamlessly with WordPress.
