The November superfamily includes two additional variants: October, a rounded version, and November Stencil, inspired by lettering cut from stencils for sprayed or painted signage and industrial marking. November Stencil also includes layered styles that open up unexpected possibilities for colour typography and motion graphics.

Toshi Omagari also designed Lava, again with feedback from Jo De Baerdemaeker and Pentsok Whenggyel Rtsang. Where November is systematic and flexible, Lava takes a more traditional approach, capturing the calligraphic character of the script in a way that has been warmly received by Tibetan readers and scholars alike.

Lhasa is the second most populous urban area on the Tibetan Plateau after Xining and, at an altitude of 3,656 metres, Lhasa is one of the highest cities in the world. The city has been the religious and administrative capital of Tibet since the mid-17th century. It contains many culturally significant Tibetan Buddhist sites such as the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Norbulingka Palaces. Lhasa has an elevation of about 3,600 m and lies in the centre of the Tibetan Plateau with the surrounding mountains rising to 5,500 m. The air only contains 68 percent of the oxygen compared to sea level.
