Megan Thee Stallion is ready for Act III. The rapper has been teasing her forthcoming album and the return of her alter ego Tina Snow, but before that drops, she popped by former First Lady Michelle Obama's podcast—and thankfully IMO isn't an audio-only podcast, because Megan's towering French roll updo simply must be seen.

Megan joined Obama and her brother Craig Robinson on IMO for a wide-ranging conversation about her Texas childhood, dealing with loss, grief, and pain, curating your TikTok algorithm, her role in Moulin Rouge!, and what to expect from Act III. For the interview, the Hot Girl Coach wore her hair in a sculpted blonde French roll, styled by her hairstylist and BFF Kellon Deryck. A French roll is a sibling to the French twist, where hair is wrapped and twisted vertically up the back of the head, then pinned in place. The rest of the hair is then gathered into a small, pastry-like bun at the top of the head, with tendrils typically left out to frame the face or brush over one eye. The French roll had a major moment in the ’90s, but it's been making a comeback on red carpets over the past few years, and we know Megan loves a good updo—especially one with throwback vibes.

For her interview, Megan opted for a dimensional, cool-toned champagne blonde with an ash blonde base, a subtle departure from the a warmer honey tones and icy platinum colors she often wears. Blonde may also be a key hair color for the Act III album and its accompanying era, as the teaser images Megan shared show her in a platinum blonde bob. ("Tina is grown now," Megan teased of her alter ego's return. “She has been through lots of life since you heard her last.”)

During their chat, Megan touched on identity and remaining true to yourself both in the music industry and in a world where social media wants to tell you who you are. “I've always been really expressive. I've always known exactly what I wanted. Any situation I walked into, I might not have had all of the knowledge that I have now, but I definitely will put my foot down about who I was, what I wanted to look like, who I want to be, what my message is," she shared. "I didn't walk into any situation where anybody had to build the person I was. I already came here Megan Thee Stallion.”
