Lenovo has started teasing the Legion C700, a new handheld designed primarily for game streaming rather than powerful onboard hardware. A full reveal is expected next month.

The latest teaser highlights an ultra-low latency streaming experience of just 10 ms, based on lab tests using a Legion Y9000P laptop with an RTX 4060 running at 1080p/120 Hz. They’re pulling this off with a mix of PC software support and their own streaming protocol, aiming for something that feels close to native play even when the heavy lifting is happening elsewhere.
The Legion C700 is designed to pair seamlessly with the Legion Stream dock for one-click setup. It can also stream games stored on a connected PC even when you’re offline, which adds some useful flexibility. A partnership with Tencent’s START cloud gaming service should give it access to a wide library of streamed titles, especially in markets where that service is already popular.

Full specs still haven’t been released, but earlier teasers and reports point to a pretty light design (around 556 g) and a 7.82-inch 120 Hz IPS screen. It’s also expected to come with modern controls like TMR joysticks and Hall-effect triggers.
Unlike the more powerful Legion Go series, which are all about running Windows games locally, the C700 takes a different route. It leans on cloud infrastructure and optimized streaming so it doesn’t need high-end silicon inside. That can mean lower cost, better battery life, and a cooler, lighter device, while still delivering sharp visuals when it’s hooked up to a strong host PC or cloud service.
Lenovo has confirmed an August launch window, with full specs, pricing, and availability details expected then. Between the claimed 10 ms latency, dedicated streaming software, dock support, and Tencent START integration, it’s shaping up to be one of the more focused cloud gaming handhelds we’ve seen so far.
The real questions will be how the latency holds up in everyday use, how long the battery lasts, how good the screen looks, and how well it handles both cloud and local streaming. For anyone who wants portable access to PC games without the bulk or heat of a traditional handheld, the Legion C700 could be an interesting new option.
