Kristin Kest is an artist whose work bridges natural science, illustration, and imaginative narrative. Over a career spanning nearly three decades, she has created more than thirty books, and numerous commissions for publications and licensed products, including twenty years of calendars with the Old Farmer’s Almanac (Yankee Publishing). Trained in both art and ecology, Kest holds an MFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art and a BA from York College of Pennsylvania, where she later taught illustration and drawing. Her recent work in ceramics explores storytelling through form and texture, translating fantastical imagery into clay. Kest also performs with The Weathercocks, a rock band with fantasy artist Mark Zug and Eric Winter.
