I found in the  bad weather birds used to like to sit on the pole between the dish and the LNB blocking the signal because it close to the central heating outlet.
 
I often lose signal when it is absolutely tipping down. LNBs have been recently changed with a SKY Q install so it will be interesting to see if it still occurs.
