The International Testing Agency (ITA) will host a new edition of its monthly education webinar series, offering young athletes and their support personnel the opportunity to prepare for competing at major events, including the Youth Olympic Games, which will take place in Dakar between 31 October and 13 November 2026.
Scheduled for Wednesday, 26 August 2026, from 14:00 to 15:00 CEST, the session is titled "Youth Athletes Competing at Major Events" and is designed as an interactive forum where participants can learn directly from athletes who know what it takes to compete at a high level. The webinar will be led by three panellists: Billy-Scott Irakoze, OLY, ITA Education Ambassador; Dora Hegyi, International-Level Gymnast, ITA Education Ambassador and member of the WADA Athlete Council; and Mona Brorsson, OLY, member of the WADA Athlete Council. The discussion will be moderated by Nikki Hamblin, OLY, from the ITA Education Team.
With the Youth Olympic Games in Dakar 2026 approaching, the one-hour session will focus on clean sport and anti-doping, giving young athletes the knowledge they need to stay prepared and focused on performing at their best. Attendees will gain valuable tips and insights to help them navigate the anti-doping aspects of their sporting journey, drawn from the panellists' own experience competing at major events.
Participants are encouraged to bring their questions about clean sport, which can be submitted in advance or asked live during the session, offering a valuable opportunity to address specific concerns as they prepare for their own competitions.
As with all ITA education activities, accessibility remains a priority. The webinar will be delivered in English, with simultaneous interpretation available in Arabic (العربية), French (français), Russian (русский) and Spanish (español), ensuring that young athletes and support personnel from around the world can fully benefit from the content.
Young athletes and their support personnel preparing for major events, including the Youth Olympic Games, are warmly invited to join this session and engage with the panellists.
