Comedian Celeste Barber has revealed 'the truth about bodysuits' with a funny fashion fail that she posted to Instagram. 

In a photo she shared on Tuesday, Celeste is seen standing in black underwear as her black tank bodysuit fails to reach past her stomach. 

The 40-year-old simply captioned the snap: 'The truth about bodysuits - by Celeste Barber.'

The star is often praised online for posting unfiltered, un-posed photos of herself showing off what many women's bodies look like.

However, the comedian has also come under fire for mocking celebrities and influencers.

Last month, the Aussie mocked 28-year-old Gabrielle Epstein, who had earlier posted a video of herself in racy black lingerie which left little to the imagination.

In Celeste's clip, she is seen having difficulty pulling on a set of underpants before posing in a similar fashion to Gabrielle's. 

She is then seen putting on a exaggerated show of forcing her stomach into her briefs. 

The mother of two then mimicked Gabrielle's sultry pose, and wrote in the caption: 'Just trying to fit in.' 

The comedian also recently responded to backlash she received over her parody of Emily Ratajkowski's G-string-clad photo shoot, saying she has no regrets about posting the video.

She landed in hot water last year after the American model, 31, blocked her on Instagram to prevent her from satirising her content.

She told Marie Claire: 'I like running my mouth off. I do it a lot. I'm quick-witted – it's one of my favourite things about me.

'I don't like that I feel I can't do that as much, and yeah I do feel like I censor myself sometimes. 

'But then other times I don't give a f**k and I operate from a place of already being cancelled.

'I mean good luck to them. You can't win. They hate what you do one day, then you're the greatest thing in the world the next day.'
