The ET Business Growth Summit in Ahmedabad on July 31, the first event of the 18-city national series this edition, saw strong participation from industry, underscoring the resilience of businesses in the region.

The summit opened with an address by Rajesh Barhatt, Joint Commissioner, Industries, Gujarat, who outlined the state’s evolving industrial ecosystem and key policy initiatives aimed at accelerating manufacturing and enterprise growth. “Gujarat ranks second in terms of medium enterprises. This reflects the state’s strong ability to help micro and small enterprises scale up and transition into medium-sized businesses,” said Barhatt.

Context is king: AI, ownership, and the end of the ticket | Atlassian

For decades, the ticket has been the organising unit of service management. But what happens when issues are identified before they are reported, resolved before they are raised, and increasingly handled by AI-assisted systems? These are no longer hypothetical questions. As organisations begin to experiment with AI-assisted service models, they are becoming central to discussions about how work is coordinated, organised, and measured. At a recent roundtable ‘The Ticketless Future Is Here. Are You Ready?’, hosted by Atlassian, 10 enterprise leaders sat down to examine what it would take to holistically transition from reactive service management to more proactive systems of work. Together, they explored the organisational conditions required for AI to deliver meaningful outcomes and the governance challenges that arise as AI agents take on greater responsibility across seamless and connected work systems..Host Gautam Srinivasan was joined by an eminent panel including Vivek Iyer (Atlassian), Aravind Raghunathan (Murugappa Group), Piyush Garg (Jubilant FoodWorks), Sourav Dasgupta (Allcargo Global), Abhinav Tiwari (ONDC), Thiyaga B (CaratLane), Shakir Wani (Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail), Tanmoy Deb (Motherson Innovations), Arjun Marwaha (YabX/Comviva), and Amit Bhatia (KARAM).The experts offered valuable insights into the future of service management through four interconnected themes: the shift from ticket-centric workflows, the significance of organisational context, the governance of increasingly autonomous systems, and the role of trust in AI-enabled operations. Watch the video to understand what a genuinely ticketless system needs to function vs. what’s just a new interface on an old problem, why context, not compute, is the real competitive moat, why AI deployments fail before the model is even the problem, and how frontline resistance to AI is often a mirror for organisational dysfunction.

“Gujarat accounts for one third of what India produces and 18% of its (the country’s) industrial output. This shows the industrial strength of the state,” added Barhatt.

Strengthening Confidence for India's Frontline Healthcare Workers

Across India, millions of ASHA and Anganwadi workers are the first point of contact for healthcare in rural communities. Every day, they answer critical healthcare questions, guide families, and help deliver essential care, almost always with limited medical infrastructure and resources. In this episode of Blueprint to Bharat, powered by Google, host Sonia Singh speaks with Shekar Sivasubramania, Head of Wadhwani AI, and Preeti Lobana, Vice President & Country Manager, Google India, about how Wadhwani AI’s HealthVaani app, powered by Google's Gemini models, is transforming frontline healthcare delivery in rural India.

The Real AI Challenge Isn’t Adoption. It’s Scaling It.
