Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Antony are among those on the top 10 list of Premier League players who performed worse in 2023-24 compared to last season, according to the data.

They are two of three Man United players included on the list, which compared those who made at least 20 league appearances in both 2022-23 and 2023-24 - as well as three Arsenal players, and two Newcastle stars.

The list was topped by one Tottenham star who has been blighted by injury, with Ange Postecoglou's side also missing out on a Champions League place this season after securing the European berth last time around.

WhoScored.com shared on X (formerly Twitter) the Premier League players whose ratings had gone down the most in the season, and put Spurs' midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg top with his score dropping -0.69 year-on-year.

While the Dane is the only Tottenham name on the ten-man list, there are three Arsenal players who have sorely underperformed, according to the data, sitting second, third and fifth on the list.

Arsenal duo Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli are both placed in the top five of the list

Gabriel Jesus saw his ratings drop -0.52 year-on-year, while David Raya has seen his scores sink -0.41 in his year with the Gunners, having previously been more statistically successful while on the books at Brentford

The third member of Mikel Arteta's squad on the list is Gabriel Martinelli in fifth on -0.36, just behind Man United's Rashford in fourth on -0.39.

While Arsenal finished second in the Premier League for both campaigns, there was more expectation on the shoulders of Arteta's Gunners, and there were a couple of performances in the middle of the season which ultimately cost the North London club at the end of the season.

Bournemouth's Philip Billing found that the success from 22-23 has been tougher to replicate in the following 12 months, with a score of -0.34, the same number as Man United's Christian Eriksen, who has found himself increasingly out of favour at Old Trafford.

Newcastle pair Kieran Trippier and Miguel Almiron make up eighth and ninth on WhoScored's list, scoring -0.33 and -0.31 respectively.

The Magpies struggled to replicate the heights of the 2022-23 campaign, dropping from fourth last time to seventh this time around.

Antony is the third Man United player on the list, and tenth overall, with his ratings falling -0.29 year-on-year.

Manchester United finished in third during the 2022-23 campaign, Erik ten Hag's first in the hot seat at Old Trafford, but found that their Premier League campaign was much tougher the second time around, eventually finishing up in eighth place, and potentially missing out on European competition entirely, depending on their FA Cup result on Saturday.

With the transfer window set to open in the middle of next month, it remains to be seen which of these players will remain in the Premier League and look to improve their performances over the next 12 months, and which have left the league on a sour note.

Albeit not in the Premier League, Rashford, Eriksen and Antony can put a cherry on their domestic campaign in the FA Cup final on Saturday afternoon.

As the season has concluded, various analysis of the campaign's data has revealed the fastest players in every position, and also the Arsenal star who turned in the worst performance of the Premier League season.
