This is the hilarious moment a granny fails to understand her daughter's creative pregnancy reveal.

Ashley Embry, 34, from Nashville, Tennessee, was just 11 weeks pregnant when she came up with a clever way to surprise her mum with the news. 

The music publisher and author decided to create her own cards for a game called Mad Gab - where each card has a string of words that don't make sense together but when spoken aloud sound different.

The hilarious video shows Wendy Hertzog, 63, saying 'eye mag own abbey aground mow there' which becomes 'I'm gonna be a grandmother.'

But unfortunately for Ashley, it took more than just a few attempts before Wendy grasped the meaning of the words.

She decides to pass on the card and tells Ashley she doesn't want 'to waste her time', much to Ashley's despair. 

Ashley does however have a back-up plan and pulls out another card. This one reads 'has lean may sonor prague nut' which becomes 'Ashley and Madson are pregnant'. 

However Wendy still doesn't get it and repeats the line several times with Ashley encouraging her each time. 

Finally the penny drops and Wendy lets out two high-pitched shrieks before screaming: 'I'm gonna be a grandma?'

She bounces out of her seat, claps her hands in delight and hugs Ashley who later describes how frustrated she was at her mother's failed attempts to guess her imaginative pregnancy reveal.
