Goalhanger
Sir Paul McCartney is the guest on two Goalhanger shows this week - The Rest is Entertainment (asking questions from listeners) and The Rest is History (going into more detail on Sir Paul’s life). For noting - the shows were released to paid members early; and it’s smart to get double the exposure by using two shows on the network. (He has a new album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane, out May 29).

As the podcast industry plans to descend on London next week, a reminder that just buying “international spots” is probably not a great plan, suggests Oxford Road, which has a number of insights on how to buy into international podcast markets - and the 15 top performing international podcasts. It’s part of the data from ORBIT, the company’s advertising performance data.
The BBC has changed the name of a new show after it was pointed out that it was similar to an already existing one. The BBC’s upcoming Talk History to Me was similar to Talk '90s to Me, a show from Podmasters hosted by Miranda Sawyer, who posted on Instagram “it’s profoundly depressing to read that BBC Sounds have decided to nick our title.” Podmasters co-founder Martin Bojtos has now revealed that the BBC has decided to change the name of the upcoming show. It’s probably relevant that Bojtos is a board member of trade body AudioUK, and Miranda Sawyer is a prominent UK journalist, radio and podcast critic.
More than 12,000 people went to the Podcast Expo 2026 in Tokyo, Japan, organisers say. The event included a marketplace where more than 150 podcast creators sold merch and hosted signing sessions.

PodcastVideos.com has named Meghan Dryzga as Vice President of Strategic Growth. The company is based in Rogers AK, USA, and is a full-service video storytelling company.
