It’s officially my favorite time of year – when we get to talk fall jackets. AHHHH. This is my bliss mode. We’ve been loving on bomber jackets for years now, and for fall 2026 we’re branching out to blouson jackets. 

Bomber jackets are just essentially a specific type of blouson jacket that lean utilitarian. The key for what we’re looking for? Jackets that cinch at the bottom to give a bloused effect. Some are true bombers with utilitarian details, some are sporty, and some are knit. I even threw in a wrap-style blouson jacket for good measure. 

These jackets have been my go-to style for a bit, and even with an already-curvy body, I find them super easy to wear. Sometimes I wear ’em open, sometimes I do a full zip. There’s a ton out right now, so I narrowed it down to the top fifteen blouson jackets that we’re eyeing for fall. I am soooo ready for jacket weather!!

1. AllSaints Clay Suede Jacket

Yes, this was one of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale finds (and arguably, S and I’s favorite piece of the entire sale). Unfortunately, the sale ended…but they did keep it on their site and there’s three total colors now. It’s also at Allsaints in the most gorgeous oxblood leather.

2. Free People Chelsea Funnel-Neck Jacket

This jacket comes in a bunch of great colors, including a denim one I’m super tempted by. There’s something about a pop of red, though for fall.

3. Barbour Ovingham Check Print Jacket

Shana and I were both immediately drawn to this one. Of course, it’s Barbour (they really just know what they’re doing over there). Bonus points for the contrasting corduroy collar, always.

This is a new-to-me brand that S showed me (yes, I want everything on their site). And…yes, this is sleeveless, but how cool to throw over all the fall knits?!

This is that wrap-style I mentioned earlier. Just love the simplicity and ballooned sleeves.

Maybe leans more cardigan, but we’re wearing it as a jacket. Love that textured knit and navy color.

8. Cotton On Porter Cropped Trench

I can’t decide if I love the classic trench beige or the chocolate brown option more. Either way, those trench coat details always get me.

9. Lululemon Always Effortless Jacket Evolve

Here’s where we start getting into sporty mode. It comes in a bunch of colors (tempted by ‘Sassy Sage’ + ‘Burgundy Bay’, personally). It has some cool features, too: water resistant, UV protected, windproof, hidden phone sleeve, a stowable hood, a mesh-ventilated back panel for airflow, and adjustable cuffs.

10. H&M Scarf-Collar Bubble-Hem Jacket

Obviously, that interesting scarf-collar caught my eye immediately. Such a little detail that totally switches up the look. And I’m here for the little plaids for fall, always.

I just freaking love this entire outfit. There’s something about all gray to me that reads soooo sleek and cool. As for the jacket – the minimalism got me. One color throughout, same fabric on the collar, simple lines.
