Timex has put the Atelier Marine M1a back on sale and, for the first time, is selling its rubber strap on its own. Both changes were announced on 18 August through the brand's social accounts and blog.
Even though the watch itself is extremely popular, the strap is the more consequential of the two. Listed as TW7D18600 at $195, it fits the Marine M1a and the GMT24 M1a which share a case. It tapers from 20 mm at the lugs to 18 mm at the stainless-steel deployant clasp. Quick-release spring bars should let owners swap it against the bracelet without tools. The finish is textured matte black.
Until now, buyers had to choose between a strap or bracelet at checkout. Timex's answer to repeated customer questions on its own product pages was that the bracelet and strap were not sold separately, but the company did mention that it was working towards this because to growing demand. We can still see several such exchanges beneath the Marine and GMT24 listings.
On the Marine M1a rubber-strap page, Timex told one customer it had no plans to restock that configuration. Regardless, the watch is available again. Also, it's worth noting that Timex sells the Atelier directly, so stock refers to the brand's own site and not a dealer network.
For context, the Marine M1a launched in September 2025 as the first watch under the Atelier label, at $950 on rubber and $1,050 on the bracelet. It runs a Swiss-made Catena SA100 automatic with 29 jewels, a 36-hour reserve and a 28,800 vph beat rate — you can see the movement through an exhibition caseback. The 41 mm steel case is 13 mm tall with skeletonized flanks over a black-plated mid-case. It's rated to 200 m under a double-curved sapphire with triple anti-reflective coating. Also, the dial is black enamel.
Timex's Atelier line now features a diver, a GMT and two chronographs, all inside a year. Meanwhile, you can check out the Timex Expedition Scout 40 mm on Amazon.
