The Grand Seiko SBGA527 (pictured) hasn't been formally announced on the company website as of writing — all info is from the official launch event.

Grand Seiko's newest launch is the SBGA527 "Shirarahama Beach," a limited edition of 50 pieces sold exclusively through its Hawaii boutique. The watch was shown at an event on the island and covered by @plus9time, alongside social media coverage by other attendees at the event.

The dial is a rich blue with a textured finish and comes with a blue seconds hand. There's a white textured section, serving as the power reserve indicator. The name refers to Shirarahama, a white-sand beach in Wakayama Prefecture in Kansai, which holds a sister-beach relationship with Waikiki. That connection is the reason a Kansai beach shows up on a Hawaii-exclusive watch.

The case is based on the classic 62GS Modern Design template in titanium. It measures 40 mm across, 12.8 mm thick and 47 mm lug to lug. The 62GS layout is bezel-less, so the dial runs to the edge of the boxed sapphire crystal, and the crown sits at four o'clock.

The SBGA527 is powered by the Caliber 9R65, the foundational Spring Drive movement. It's rated at 72 hours of power reserve. Spring Drive pairs a mainspring with an electronic regulator, which is responsible for the continuous gliding seconds hand rather than a ticking one. A display caseback shows the movement.

A key element lies aside from the watch itself. Some other attendees at the launch reported that each piece ships with a presentation case hand-painted by a local artist, and photographs from the event (see above) show the boxes being decorated individually with wave and floral motifs. Grand Seiko has not published details of the arrangement.

Pricing has not been confirmed. An attendee put the figure at around $7,500, which is in line with the 9R65 titanium range but should be treated as unofficial until Grand Seiko lists the reference.

The SBGA527 is the third boutique-exclusive 9R65 limited edition in this pattern within months. The SBGA521 had 45 pieces for Hankyu Umeda in Osaka, and the SBGA525 to 30 for Watches of Switzerland at Jewel Changi in Singapore. All three use the 62GS case and the same movement.
