LUGANSK, August 24. /TASS/. Fighters of the Russian Battlegroup South’s 75th Separate Unmanned Systems Regiment are independently upgrading ground robotic systems in the field, increasing their control range from eight to 20 kilometers, a ground robotic system crew commander with the call sign Burya told TASS.

"We’re still improving their range every day, and not by a small margin – it’s reaching up to 20 kilometers. <...> Initially, the range was short, up to, well, about eight kilometers. Now it’s longer, and every day our guys are trying to increase it farther," he said.

The officer noted that operators are also enhancing camouflage systems to conceal the equipment from enemy drones. According to him, camouflage nets, closed netting, and frames are mainly used for this purpose. He added that the system is covered with nets so that it cannot be seen from above, and when stationary, it becomes virtually invisible.

In addition, Burya noted, the vehicles are equipped with night vision devices, which allow them to operate effectively after dark. He added that at night, a person might not notice a drone in the sky, whereas the Kuryer system with night vision provides a significant advantage.
