MOSCOW, August 24. /TASS/. The Ukrainian armed forces are experiencing a shortage of missiles for air defense systems and aircraft, Yury Ignat, the Ukrainian air force spokesman, said during a nationwide televised marathon.

"There aren’t enough missiles. Everyone knows about the shortage of missiles, particularly for the Patriot systems, but even missiles for other ground-based air defense systems and even for aviation platforms - I mean aircraft - remain a problem today," he said.

Ignat did not elaborate.

According to some sources, Ukraine is now completely unable to shoot down Russian ballistic or hypersonic missile. Ukrainian authorities at various levels have repeatedly cited a shortage of air defense resources, primarily for American Patriot systems.
