  Bill Lawrence executive produces the reboot of Scrubs, with alums Tim Hobert and Aseem Batra serving as showrunners and executive producers. Season 2 is on the way.

  Hobert was a writer, executive producer and consulting producer on Scrubs, and Batra was a writer and story editor. Jeff Ingold and Liza Katzer also EP the reboot on behalf of Lawrence’s production company, Doozer.

  The new series follows JD Dorian (Braff) and Christopher Turk (Faison), who scrub in together for the first time in a long time, and medicine has changed, interns have changed, but their bromance has stood the test of time. New and old characters stop by of Sacred Heart like Neil Flynn’s and Christa Miller’s characters. Lisa Gilroy, who made her Shrinking debut in Season 3’s first episode, will also appear in the medical comedy as a harpist.

  American sitcom Scrubs premiered Oct. 2, 2001 on NBC and aired for 9 seasons and a total of 181 episodes. The final episode aired on ABC March 17, 2010. Created by Bill Lawrence, the series starred Zach Braff as Dr. John J.D. Dorian, Donald Faison as Dr. Christopher Turk, Sara Chakle as Dr. Elliott Reid, John C. McGinley as Dr. Perry Cox, Ken Jenkins as Dr. Bob Kelso, Neil Flynn as the Janitor, Judy Reyes as Nurse Carla Espinosa, Robert Maschio as Todd Quinland, Christa Miller as Jordan Sullivan and more. The hospital-set series was rebooted in 2026 with three of the original main stars — Braff, Faison and Chalke — returning.

• ‘Cougar Town’ – Hulu

  All six seasons of Cougar Town, starring Courteney Cox, Christa Miller, Busy Phillipps, Dan Byrd, Josh Hopkins and more, are streaming on Hulu. The show takes place in Gulfhaven, Florida, following shenanigans and relationships between a group of neighbors living there.

  Brett Goldstein also serves as co-creator on Shrinking with Brett Lawrence and star Jason Segel. The therapy comedy also stars Harrison Ford as Paul Rhoades, Jessica Williams as Gaby Evans, Christa Miller as Jimmy Laird’s (Segel) neighbor Liz, Michael Urie as Jimmy’s best friend Brian, Lukita Maxwell as Jimmy’s daughter Alice, Luke Tennie as Jimmy’s patient Sean, Ted McGinley as Liz’s husband Derek and many more. Goldstein went in front of the camera in Season 2 to play a big character that wove into the theme of forgiveness. The first three seasons are currently streaming on Apple TV. Scrubs star Zach Braff occasionally directs episodes of Shrinking, and Cougar Town alum Josh Hopkins appeared in Season 2.

  The series was renewed for a fourth season, which will take on a new story, ahead of Season 3’s premiere.

• ‘I Suck At Girls’ – Coming To Netflix

  Lawrence’s Doozer Productions and Warner Bros. TV have I Suck At Girls in the works at Netflix, which gave the project a series order. Abbott Elementary co-showrunners Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker are writing the project based on Halpern’s own book of the same title.

  The series revolves around three awkward high school sophomores who stumble through the messy world of teenage romance and identity, learning that sucking at girls is just part of growing up. Kayo Martin, Jeremy Ray Taylor and Laila Pruitt have been cast as the leads.
