Healthy aging event returns to Sauble Beach June 13

South Bruce Peninsula’s Healthy Aging and Wellness Day will return Saturday, June 13, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Sauble Beach Community Centre.

The free, community-focused event is designed to promote healthy, active lifestyles and connect residents with valuable local resources and services that support well-being at every stage of life.

Attendees can look forward to a full day of engaging presentations from a variety of community partners, including the Sauble Family Health Team, Ontario Provincial Police, Ministry of Transportation of Ontario, Bruce County Library, and the Grey Bruce Community Legal Clinic and new for 2026, Q and A Discussion Panel with presenters.

The event will also feature a variety of interactive activities and demonstrations, including fitness classes, yoga, lawn bowling, and horseshoes. Exhibitor booths will be set up throughout the venue, offering opportunities to learn more about programs, services and supports available in the region.

“A strong, connected community is built on supporting one another at every stage of life,” said South Bruce Peninsula Mayor Jay Kirkland. “Healthy Aging and Wellness Day is a wonderful opportunity for residents to come together, learn about the resources available to them, and take part in activities that support both physical and mental well-being. We are proud to host this event and grateful to our community partners for helping make it possible.”

A complimentary lunch and healthy snacks will be provided, and organizers encourage all members of the community to attend.
