The hum of the analogue exchange, a sound synonymous with late twentieth-century communication, has fallen utterly silent in the Grand Duchy. Post Luxembourg, the state-owned giant that has knitted the nation together since 1842, has pulled the plug on its legacy copper network for good, marking the definitive end of an era that began with the clunky charm of rotary dials and culminated in the digital precision of the EWSD system.
