‘Texas Killing Fields’ suspect pleads not guilty ahead of Aug. 31 trial

James Elmore, 61, is charged with secondary felony manslaughter for allegedly causing the death of Laura Miller in September 1984. He is accused of preparing a vial of cocaine for his alleged friend and prime suspect, Clyde Hedrick, to give to Miller.
