MedLife, the leader of Romania’s private healthcare services market and the only Romanian-owned company among the top private healthcare operators listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange, announces its financial results for the first half of 2026, marking continued progress in the company’s operational performance.

  • MedLife recorded pro-forma consolidated revenue of RON 7 billion in H1 2026, up 10% compared with H1 2025, while the pro forma EBITDA margin improved YoY.
  • The Group reported significant growth across most business lines, with the strongest performances recorded by the corporate, clinics, and laboratories divisions, which posted revenue growth of 17%, 15%, and 13%, respectively.
  • As a leader in technology and innovation, MedLife is accelerating the development of strategic projects focused on personalized The company is set to launch a new version of its app, which will integrate genetic and biometric data, microbiome information, and medical history into a single digital ecosystem, in order to provide recommendations based on each patient’s individual profile.
  • This is the first time in the region that a healthcare operator has brought together advanced technologies, medical data, and lifestyle data to develop proprietary models and deliver a personalized approach for each individual.
  • Alongside these strategic initiatives, MedLife continues to pursue new acquisition and development opportunities to strengthen its position as a market leader in Romania and a top regional player.

In the first half of the year, the MedLife Group recorded robust 10% growth in pro forma consolidated revenue compared with the same period in 2025, reaching RON 1.7 billion. In terms of profitability, the pro forma EBITDA margin reached 16.4%, an improvement over the same period last year, supported by the upward trend recorded in the second quarter. The results reflect solid performance across most business lines, driven by robust volume growth, as well as by measures aimed at improving efficiency and optimizing costs across the Group.

The strongest growth rates were recorded by the corporate segment (17%), clinics (15%), laboratories (13%), and hospitals (8%). The Corporate division stands out for its accelerated growth compared with the previous year, supported by the expansion of its customer portfolio and the diversification of solutions offered. The performance of this segment contributes to strengthening the company’s market share and reflects MedLife’s ability to develop, in real time, new products tailored to the continuously evolving needs of employees and employers.

At the same time, the growth of the laboratories division is underpinned by the expansion of its advanced diagnostic services portfolio, including DNA testing, oncogenetics, and, more recently, microbiome analysis — state-of-the-art solutions that support the company’s strategic focus on personalized medicine.

Strategic investments in the development of personalized medicine

Alongside the development of its core business lines, MedLife focused in the first half of the year on accelerating strategic projects that combine innovation and cutting-edge technology, making significant progress towards personalized medicine. The development of the Longevity 100+ program and the mobile app are two of the company’s key objectives, in line with its ongoing investments in research and development.

“After opening a new chapter in personalized medicine last year—as the first company in the country and the region to sequence the human genome using our own resources—one of our priorities in the first half of 2026 was the development of the Longevity 100+ program. The fact that we were able to offer, for the first time in Romania, large-scale low-pass genetic testing represents an important step toward democratizing access to genetic information and bringing precision medicine closer to patients. We have also expanded the Longevity 100+ program by integrating microbiome analysis—another first at the national level. MedLife is the only company in Romania that currently has the capacity to fully sequence the human microbiome within the country. Thus, by correlating genetic information with microbiome data, we can gain a broader and more nuanced perspective on each patient’s health.

“We believe that the true value of these achievements becomes apparent when we are able to take a holistic view of genetic predisposition, the microbiome, medical data, and lifestyle, in order to identify risks earlier and to provide recommendations that are as relevant as possible for each individual patient”, concluded Mihai Marcu, CEO & Chairman of the Board of MedLife Group.

H2 outlook: digitalization, AI and advanced technologies to address the needs of tomorrow’s patients

In the coming period, MedLife will continue to pursue its strategic projects, maintaining its focus on innovation, AI, digitalization, and the development of medical solutions tailored to patients’ continuously evolving needs.

The company aims to accelerate the transition to personalized medicine by continuing to develop the Longevity 100+ program and the mobile app, with the goal of building a digital infrastructure capable of supporting the next generation of preventive healthcare services. According to company representatives, this fall the MedLife app will evolve from a tool for scheduling and accessing medical services into a digital health companion, capable of integrating multiple types of medical data into a single ecosystem and providing personalized recommendations based on each patient’s individual profile. In the first phase, the app will consolidate medical test histories, medical record data, family history, biometric information, and the results of the Longevity 100+ genetic test; in subsequent phases, other types of data—such as imaging studies, psychometric assessments, and information on the microbiome and nutrition—will be progressively integrated.

In parallel with the implementation of strategic projects, MedLife representatives will continue to focus on streamlining operations and reducing costs to improve performance and support margin growth, while simultaneously reducing debt levels and improving the Net Debt/EBITDA ratio.

Medicine is evolving at an unprecedented pace, and we want to be at the forefront of this transformation. We have the resources, infrastructure, and expertise needed to contribute to the development of personalized medicine and bring the benefits of new technologies closer to patients. At the same time, we remain disciplined in our capital allocation, attentive to acquisition opportunities that can accelerate the Group’s growth, and focused on improving operational performance. Our goal is to continue growing steadily and to strengthen our position, both in Romania and regionally” , concluded Mihai Marcu, CEO & Chairman of the Board of MedLife Group.
