Will anything save us?

And they’re off. No more than 30 seconds after hearing “first call,” the multitude of political ads have come to TV, radio and print. Candidates on neither side will ever tell you what they plan to do if voted in. Instead they try to scare you into believing that their opponents will destroy the city, state, country and — yes — even the world.
The fun part is that when one ad about someone finishes, their opponent’s ad comes up next. It’s like a ping-pong match at times. Who can crush who worse?
There have always been negative ads, but there were also people who spoke about their plans and visions — even though we knew most of it was talk. But it was uplifting talk, not the doom we are fed now.
I wish I could vote early and that would automatically block this trash.
