Lokayukta officials on Tuesday conducted simultaneous searches at the residences and office of Rajeshwari Bablad, an Assistant Executive Engineer with the Gulbarga Electricity Supply Company Limited (Gescom), in Kalaburagi city, following allegations that she had possessed assets disproportionate to her known sources of income.

A team of Lokayukta officials arrived at her residence in Mahalakshmi Layout early Tuesday morning and began examining documents, property records, and financial details. Searches were also carried out at another residence owned by the officer in Khadri Chowk.

The officials additionally searched her office at Gescom and scrutinised official records and other documents as part of the operation.

According to sources, Ms. Bablad had reportedly gone out for her morning walk when the Lokayukta team arrived at her residence and commenced the search.

The searches were reportedly launched following allegations that the officer had accumulated assets disproportionate to her known income. Lokayukta officials verified the documents, property details, and other financial records seized or examined during the searches.
