People in urban areas of Telangana can now book a doorstep visit by a MeeSeva executive to access various citizen services, including birth and death certificates and caste, income and residence certificates. The executive will help them obtain the relevant certificates without having to visit government offices or MeeSeva centres.

The service will initially be available as a pilot in selected ‘CURE’ (Core Urban Region Economy) areas and will be expanded to other parts of the State in the coming days.

Citizens can call the toll-free number 1100 or book a slot through the MeeSeva portal. Once a slot is booked, a MeeSeva executive will visit their doorstep.

Telangana IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu formally launched ‘MeeSeva Door Delivery Services’ here on Wednesday.

Besides certificates, citizens can access encumbrance certificate (EC) copies, police department services, and other services that are offered through MeeSeva (an e-governance initiative).

More than 70 MeeSeva agents and village-level entrepreneurs (VLEs) have been specially trained for the service, a government official said.
